Light Bulbs
Waste Management collects all
spent light bulbs and arranges to have materials in
these bulbs recycled. These
include, but are not limited to, fluorescent, halogen,
incandescent, and sodium & metal halide bulbs.
Disposing of spent light bulbs
If you change your own
light bulbs, do not dispose of them in the
trash. Instead, call
Waste Management so that the bulbs can be recycled.
SEM Request to change and dispose of light bulbs
You can also request that
the
Site Engineering & Maintenance (SEM) Department
change light bulbs in your work area through their
on-line Service Request Desk. SEM will forward the
spent bulbs to
Waste Management.
Reuse of unspent bulbs
If you have unspent bulbs that you can no
longer use, contact the
SEM Service Request Desk. SEM may be able to arrange
for reuse of these bulbs in another area at SLAC.
