Microwave Window & Coatings Group

The microwave window & coatings group manufactures high power microwave windows for use on klystrons, RF cavities and similar devices produced for SLAC'S two-mile accelerator and associated high energy physics experiments. This group specializes in thin film coatings to suppress electron multi-pactor.

To assure a clean substrate and produce a high purity film, many visual inspections are required.
Windows of various sizes and power ratings are produced for both input and output RF applications.
