OrganizationThe Metrology Department provides accurate mechanical and electrical measurements to determine the quality of fabricated parts, to establish the electrical parameters of magnets, and to position and survey all beam line components in order to maximize the reliability and efficiency of all physics experiments. A research and development program is established to develop equipment, software and procedures necessary to achieve the ever tighter requirements.
