Email sent on July 16th: The BYDs were measured with a 5 A/s linear ramp, so we should keep the ramp rate at 5 A/s, especially since it is a linear ramp. The effect on the BX3 measurements between a 5 and a 10 A/s ramp was measured on 4580 (BX31). For currents above 50 amps the ratio of the fields using a 10 A/s ramp rate compared to a 5 A/s rate is < 0.07%. Below 50 amps it’s in the 0.1-0.5% range. See attached plot (Integrated Field ratio for run 4 to run 1.png), which is the ratio of the integrated fields for each run (10A/s is run 1, 5 A/s is run 4) calculated from their respective polynomials.
