 Zack & Robert: Below is a quote for the half size cam positioners
                from the same shop which did the full size positioners.
                The totals come to $2261/ea in 5 lots or $2000/ea in
                10 lots. This is about what the larger positioners 
                cost from this shop (Diamond Tool, Joe Grandov).
                The expensive item is the shaft which they send out
                to another shop for grinding. If we were making a large
                number of assemblies there should be more competitive 
                biding. The cost should come down toward $1K but the 
                the parts made by Grandov's shop were functional. Yuri
                says he has noticed a 25 micron variation in the cam lift
                which I think is just within the drawing tolerance.

                We have already purchased
                and received the motors, Harmonic Drives, bearings etc
                for 5 of these half sized units. Getting more of the 
                commercial components would probably take less than a 
                month. Tell me how many to order. They will probably 
                take about 1 month.
