If you wish to use the Stanford Libraries, there are several
ways to do that based on your status at SLAC.
- If you are a SLAC employee with Stanford picture ID,
this is also your campus library card.
- Scientists and engineers who need access to the Stanford
University Libraries for research purposes may request a
Visiting Scholar's Card from the SLAC Library. You will need
to come to the SLAC Library to complete the application for
this card. Qualified individuals include scientists and
engineers conducting research at SLAC who are invited to
visit or work at SLAC without being paid as employees.
- Others still associated in some way with SLAC, contact
Claudia Ransom in the SLAC Human Resources Department, ext.
3345 to see if you are eligible for a University Associate
card, which provides access to many of the libraries on
campus for courtesy, on-site use, but does not allow
borrowing privileges in most of the campus libraries. The
University Associate card also provides access to all
Stanford University recreation facilities, except the golf
course.
