The Primary task of the Klystron Tube Shop
is to assemble high power S-band and X-band
pulsed klystrons for SLAC accelerator
applications. The Klystron Tube Shop also
produces CW storage ring klystrons as well as
high gradient R & D accelerator structures and a
variety of other RF vacuum electronic
components. The group has special expertise in
hydrogen atmosphere brazing, ceramic to metal
seal brazing, diffusion bonding, and electron
gun assembly and processing.
