Assurance
The Office of Assurance affirms the Laboratory Director and DOE's Stanford Site Office (SSO) that SLAC programs are safe, secure, adhere to ethical and compliant business practices, meet customer requirements, meet reasonable standards of formality, and meet requirements and standards specified in the contract between Stanford University and the U.S. Department of Energy for operation of SLAC.
Fiscal Year 2009 Key Goals
- Implement quality assurance/management and contractor assurance methodologies to enable SLAC science and operations to plan and perform in a reliable and effective manner and minimize the impact on the security, environment, safety and health of the staff and public;
- Standardize processes (e.g., documentation, procedures, records management, suspect/counterfeit items and safety software) and support continuous improvement in all aspects of SLAC's science and operations
- Develop and implement systems (Issues Management Program, management assessments, etc.) to assure the delivery of products and services that meet customers' requirements and expectations.
