SLAC Tuition Reimbursement Program Form Instructions

Policy

Degree objective must have applicability to an employee’s current job or to identifiable career development positions at SLAC, contribute to the mission of the Laboratory, and have significant enhanced skills payback to warrant reimbursement from SLAC.

The SLAC Tuition Reimbursement Program supports employee development by providing partial reimbursement (up to 90% of what the tuition cost would be for a comparable degree program at one of the California State Universities, i.e. San Jose State University, unless no comparable program is available).  Reimbursement of tuition costs is for courses meeting requirements of a certificate or degree program related to current performance or planned career development at SLAC.  Employees who are eligible for the Staff Tuition Reimbursement Program (STRP) must apply for that benefit which must be exhausted before SLAC Tuition Reimbursement Program funds may be used.
