Contractors/Sub-Contractors

Contractors/subcontractors doing work at SLAC for a specific project or performing on-going services and/or maintenance.  Point of Contact (POC) must be an active SLAC employee and is responsible for assigning training requirements, advising Procurement Operations or HR Records when contractor/subcontractor appointment is ending and collecting any assigned SLAC property, including the SLAC ID badge.  These appointments are reviewed on an on-going basis.

PROCESSING CONTRACTORS AND SUBCONTRACTORS:

Required Information

Ø  SLAC Point of Contact must be a SLAC employee and a US citizen

Ø  Birth Country, Country Citizenship and Birth Year are required fields

Ø  Legal name

Ø  Estimated end of appointment (no later than one year)

Ø   Contractors/Sub-Contractors are entered in PeopleSoft by HR Records within 48 hours of receipt of the completed
registration form. 
NOTE: May require FACTS approval.

 

To register as a Contractor or Sub Contractor

Ø  Complete the on-line Contractor Registration Form and submit to Procurement Operations .  Contractors must submit the registration form and complete relevant training prior to being granted access at SLAC. 
NOTE:  The registration cannot be processed unless all required fields are completed.

Ø  The SLAC Point of Contact and Security will be furnished the assigned ID# by Procurement Operations.  The Point of Contact will provide the Contractor/Subcontractor the ID# and assign the required training.  The ID# must be assigned and required safety courses taken prior to admission to site.  SLAC training courses may be taken on-line.

Ø  On arrival at SLAC, please go to the Security Office located at the main gate to secure a badge.

What to do when Contractors/Sub Contractors leave:

The Point of Contact is responsible for collecting all assigned SLAC property and advising OCIFO to end computer account(s) access.  Procurement Operations or HR Records records@slac.stanford.edu should be advised of the last day authorized on site by email.  Account Services must be notified as well.
