COMPASS (Career Management Program for Stanford
Staff) has been around since 2001. It offers new
and different classes and lunch time talks
each quarter. Staff can register via
axess.stanford.edu.
There is a comprehensive career development website with
assessments, articles, links, tools, etc. Website:
http://compass1.stanford.edu
What's relatively new to the COMPASS program is
the Career Counseling Network (CCN). This
service allows staff access to a network of local career
counselors at a discounted rate (about 25% lower than
standard private practice career counseling rates) for
individual, confidential career counseling
appointments. Staff can also use up to $300 of their
STAP funds to see these counselors and without needing
their supervisor's approval. For more information, see
http://www.stanford.edu/dept/ld/compass/ccn.html.
