Eating Disorders: What Every Parent Needs to Know
Pamela Carlton, MD, the founder and director of the
Adolescent Eating Disorder Parent Education and Support
Program at Stanford and author of "Take Charge of Your
Child's Eating Disorder," will be discussing eating
disorders: who may be at risk, warning signs, and what
to do if you think a child or loved one may be suffering
from one.

La Leche League
meeting for moms
The La Leche League will conduct a monthly Brown Bag
meeting with practical tips relating to breast feeding
and other parenting issues, as well as time for sharing
and pumping. All pregnant, nursing, and bottle
feeding mothers are welcome.

Memory and Aging: What's Normal and What's Not
Karyn Skultety, PhD, Associate Director of Education
and Evaluation at the Geriatric Research Education and
Clinical Center at the VA Palo Alto, will discuss the
differences between age-related changes in memory and
changes due to depression or dementia. Participants
will learn about changes in memory that could require
further assessment or treatment from healthcare
providers. Recommendations and resource information for
treating depression, dementia or other disorders that
cause changes in memory will be given.
