Estimated Housing Costs

Housing prices in the San Francisco Bay Area continue to be higher than other areas due to high demand.  Therefore, to ensure the best possible service, the Housing Office requests as much advance notice as possible. 

Advanced reservations are required at the Stanford Guest House conveniently located on the SLAC site.  You may get more information or book a room by going to http://www.stanford.edu/dept/hds/guesthouse.

               $ 75 per night for standard room with full size bed
               $105 per night for deluxe room with two full size or one queen bed
                                                         

If you are bringing your family, if you smoke, have pets or need to be within walking/biking
distance to SLAC, it is important to start planning early by sending us your completed Housing
Questionnaire as soon as you have dates (even if they are only estimated dates). 

The prices below are based on current Averages for the Menlo Park/Palo Alto area. 
The Housing Office will always strive to secure the lowest rates possible.
 

Lease Conditions

To rent a house or apartment a deposit equal to 3 months' rent (first and last + security) may be required. This deposit must be in U.S. funds drawn on a U.S. bank, cash (money order or cashier's check) or traveler's checks. Credit cards are accepted at the Stanford Guest House but may NOT be used for rentals in private homes, apartments or houses.
