  • Support managers to attract, retain, and reward employees
  • Classify and analyze jobs and organization, with equity and fairness
  • Advise supervisors and employees on classification and pay policy and practices
  • Promote SLAC/University values
  • Maintain collegial role with professionals in DOE, labs, and industry
  • Improve HR systems and reporting

  • Requisition review: job description, pay range assignment
  • Establishing salaries for successful applicants for jobs
  • Consultation on all salary-related issues
  • Secure DOE approval for specified salaries
  • Organizational reviews for job content and salary relationships
  • Administer the Annual Salary-Setting Program
  • Conduct classification reviews, special surveys and studies
