Dosimeters and Badging

Where do I turn in dosimeters?
Dosimeters can be turned-in by sending them through interoffice mail to Dosimeter Return, Mailstop 84.  For more information, please see the Dosimetry web page.

If a vendor will spend fewer than 60 days in a year on the SLAC campus, and doesn't need to go into a radiologically controlled area, they can get a badge valid for two years by viewing Safety Orientation for Non-SLAC Employees (Course 396). They will be required to have a SLAC ID number before they can take this course.

• If a vendor spends more than 60 days in a calendar year at SLAC, they must take Employee Orientation to ES&H (Course 219) instead of course 396. 
• If the vendor needs unescorted access into Radiological Controlled Areas (RCAs), they must take both course 219 and General Employee Radiological Training (Course 115).
