New And Improved Version Of EOESH Released
ESH Training is pleased to announce the release of the latest
version of course 219 - EOESH. This new release is more than just an
update, it is a completely new course built from the ground up
incorporating the latest learning techniques and e-learning
technologies. Among the many improvements are the following:
- A personal message about safety from Lab Director Persis
Drell
- A brand new custom course Flash player with improved performance
and a more intuitive user interface.
- Incorporation of the latest learning techniques such as
increased
interactivity to improve learner interest and retention.
- An avatar (a graphical representation of a real person) to engage the learner and act as a guide throughout the
training.
- Occupation based branching - learners choose those topics
relevant to their work.
In addition, the course incorporates important updates to
existing SLAC programs as well as new sections on Work Planning and
Control and electrical safety.
Since the new EOESH will cover the level of electrical safety
awareness required for most lab personnel,
course 239 - General Electrical Safety will no longer be mandatory
for individuals who complete this course. Please discuss with your
supervisor having course 239 removed from your STA once you complete
the new course 219.
Due to the fact that this version
of the course contains new and pertinent information for all SLAC
employees, a challenge exam will not be offered for the next two
years which is the lifespan of one training refresher cycle.
For details on the new EOESH as well as instructions on how to
access the course, please see the
EOESH course catalog page.
We are interested in hearing your comments about the new course.
After you finish, please complete the short evaluation that is accessible by
