For Emergency Care
For immediate, life-threatening, or otherwise serious
injuries/illnesses call 911. Then call 650-926-5555 for SLAC EMT
response.
The nearest emergency department to SLAC is the Stanford
Health Care Emergency Department. In addition, the Stanford
after-hours Walk-in Clinic may be an option for those with care needs
that are not life-threatening.
Stanford after-hours Walk-In Clinic
Monday - Friday, 3:30 PM - 11:00 PM, no appointment needed
If you have a minor injury or illness and need non-emergency care, you
can walk in to this Stanford-run clinic, staffed by ER physicians. This
includes services for injuries and ailments, including strains and
sprains, burns and wounds, and respiratory infections.

INSURANCE INFORMATION: Most standard insurance plans are accepted. The
Walk-In Clinic visit will be billed as an office visit (not an emergency
room visit). Payment of a copay may be required at the time of visit.
Hospital and professional fees may also apply for additional services,
like medication/vaccine administration or lab/radiology services.

Emergency 911
Call 911 for all serious illnesses or injuries including:
- Electric shock
- Heart attack (
SLAC Emergency Defibrillators)
- Loss of consciousness (if someone faints)
- Serious bleeding
- Difficulty breathing
- Broken bones
- When medical transportation is needed
