Worker Safety & Health Program (WSHP)

Requirements for On-Site Service Supplier Subcontractors.

Requirements

  • A SLAC Point of Contact (POC) is assigned to all service contracts to provide Project Management including safety management.
  • The POC will determine the level of risk of the work during the development of the statement of work (SOW).
  • The safety requirements will be determined by the risk category (see Table below)
  • Submit the required safety documentation and provide any required insurance certificates.
Note: it is the SLAC Subcontractor’s responsibility to secure similar required documentation from it’s lower tier subcontractors. The safety performance of lower tier subcontractors is the responsibility of the party who has entered into the contract with SLAC.
  • Have workers complete required ES&H Training.
  • SLAC’s POC will be responsible for safety oversight.
  • PERFORM THE WORK SAFELY!
  • Immediately cease activity if the POC or a Safety Officer issues a Stop Work Activity Order.
  • In the event of an emergency on-site, call 911 for emergency assistance, and then immediately notify the POC.
