Chapter 33: Management Walkthroughs
The purpose of this program is to improve organizational
performance and safety. It covers requirements for management
walkthroughs and applies to all SLAC line managers with direct and/or
matrixed reports and to points of contact for users and students.
Each directorate defines and communicates its own
directorate-specific management walkthrough process. During these
walkthroughs, line managers will interact with their workers
(employees, users, students) and have meaningful discussions about
work process and potential improvements, including workplace safety.
Managers will observe work, reinforce safe and effective work
behaviors, and identify ways to help improve work processes, quality,
and safety.
