DOE Directives List and Work Smart Standards Set
Work Smart Standards (WSS)
The SLAC WSS Set identifies safety standards that apply at
SLAC and conform with the intent of ISEMS Guiding Principle 5,
"Identification of Safety Standards." The people who do work at
SLAC are responsible for controlling hazards in compliance the
the SLAC WSS Set. The WSS Set is updated at least annually and
appended to the modified Management and Operations contract
between the DOE and Stanford.

Contract, Appendix E
Starting in FY05, DOE combined the former Stanford Contract's
Appendices E and U into one new Appendix E: "DOE Directives List
& Work Smart Standards Set." The contract information is
available on the BSD site.
DOE Directives List
The DOE Directives list provides those DOE Directives all or
a portion of which are applicable to operations at SLAC. SLAC is
contractually obligated to conform with these directives as
specified on the list.
