between SLAC Directorates, SLAC Management, and the DOE in
understanding what is required and expected of SLAC in the ISEMS
program.

How it's Used
|
| Directorate Plans |
In addition to the overall guiding ISEM System at
SLAC, each directorate is encouraged to create a plan
for integrating these principles of safety into their
areas. |
| Performance Measures |
| Performance Measures are metrics to evaluate SLAC's
ES&H performance. The total "point score" assigned by
DOE to SLAC for the ES&H program is based on these
Performance Measures. This ES&H score, combined with the
scores for Business Services and Science and Technology,
constitutes the SLAC Institutional Assessment final
result prepared by DOE at the end of each fiscal year. |
| Work Smart Standards |
| The SLAC Work Smart Standards (WSS) identify safety standards that apply at
SLAC and conform with the intent of ISEMS Guiding Principle 5,
"Identification of Safety Standards." The people who do work at
SLAC are responsible for controlling hazards in compliance with
the SLAC WSS Set. The WSS Set is updated at least annually and
appended to the modified Management and Operations contract
between the DOE and Stanford. |
