- National Fire Protection Association (NFPA)
- NFPA 1600-2004, "Standard on Disaster/Emergency Management and Business Continuity Programs" (NFPA 1600-2004)
- NFPA 704-2001, "Standard System for the Identification of the Hazards of Materials for Emergency Response" (NFPA 704-2001)
