Standards (Section 3)

The SLAC emergency management program is based on compliance with the following standards:

  • DOE Order 151.1C, "Comprehensive Emergency Management System"
    • Chapter IX, "Public Affairs Policy and Planning Requirements" (DOE O 151.1C, Chapter IX)
    • Chapter X, "Evaluations and Readiness Assurance," Sections 3.a and 3.b (DOE O 151.1C, Chapter X.3a-b)
  • National Fire Protection Association (NFPA)
    • NFPA 1600-2004, "Standard on Disaster/Emergency Management and Business Continuity Programs" (NFPA 1600-2004)
    • NFPA 704-2001, "Standard System for the Identification of the Hazards of Materials for Emergency Response" (NFPA 704-2001)
