Preparing for class:
- The instructor is
responsible for the following:
- Checking the Course
Waitlist Report at
https://www-internal.slac.stanford.edu/esh-db/training/slaconly/bin/waitlist.asp
to determine if a class needs to be scheduled.
- We recommend that
classes are scheduled when a minimum of ten people
are on a course waitlist.
- Insuring that the class
has been scheduled, the classroom reserved and that the
session is made available for registration on the SLAC
Registration System.
- Insuring that all class
supplies and equipment are present and working before
the class starts
- Insuring that all class
slides, PowerPoint or any other visual aids are
organized and ready to present the day of class.
- Class rosters: Download the roster creation tool
here!
- Every
class must have a roster submitted in
order for the students to receive
credit. It is the instructor’s
responsibility to see that the class
roster is signed by all students. Please
make sure that the names are clearly
printed as well so they will be easily
readable.
- The
instructor creates their own rosters
for the class. To download the
roster creation tool and view
instructions, please see our web
page
here. You can download a
blank roster to print
here.
- Make a copy of rosters and any test results
for your records before submitting them to ESH-Training.
On occasion, paperwork can get lost.
- The
roster should be mailed,
faxed or dropped off in/to the ESH
Training mail slot (M/S 84) in
the upstairs copy room in Building
24 immediately after the training
session takes place and no later
then the morning of the next
business day. This is to expedite
entering the training data into the
database so all students can receive
credit for the course as quickly as
possible.
- Have the class complete
a class evaluation form which can be found
here.
- Leave the classroom as
it was found
- Turn off projector
- Turn off coffee
maker (if applicable)
- Log off computer
- Put chairs and
tables back the way they were found
