Summer Student Program
Participants in this program must be at least 18 years old. This program hires high school, undergraduate and graduate level college students. The jobs can range from unskilled or semi-skilled, to specialized jobs requiring a couple years of experience. Students may work in any area at SLAC. Students can work from May until September, depending upon department needs and students’ school schedules. Students who have not graduated from High School will be required to obtain a Work Permit from their school prior to starting Employment at SLAC. The summer student jobs are listed online. Each posting will provide the option to apply for that particular job. You may apply for more than one job.

Youth Opportunity Program
The SLAC Youth Opportunity Program (YOP) is a 10-week program (June 14th to August 20th) for students between the ages of 18 and 22. This program is designed to give entry-level students exposure to the work place and enhance their job skills, while providing added income to families in need. These positions are full time. The student's parent or guardian will be required to complete a financial statement. Upon application, we also require a copy of the parents’ W2 forms or a copy of the 2009 form 1040 to determine eligibility. Applications for this program must be received before May 28, 2010. Students who have not graduated from High School will be required to obtain a Work Permit from their school prior to starting Employment at SLAC.
