Meeting Rooms and Facilities

The Communications Group manages the schedule for the Panofsky Auditorium Conference Facilities (auditorium, lobby, breezeway and picnic area), The Green (large lawn area between A&E Bldg. and the Cafeteria) and the Orange Room. Communications provides Multimedia Services for meetings and events site-wide.

To reserve meeting rooms, see the list of meeting rooms and the room contacts: http://www2.slac.stanford.edu/comp/messaging/calendar/contacts.html.

Orange Room

To schedule the Orange Room, please contact Maura Chatwell (ext. 4931). You may also use Outlook to schedule the Orange Room.

Panofsky Auditorium Facilities

To schedule a meeting schedule for the Panofsky Auditorium Conference Facilities (auditorium, breezeway, lobby and picnic area), you may use Outlook. If you do not have access to Outlook, you can send your request by e-mail to both Herb McIntye and Rod Reape.

You will receive an e-mail confirmation if the room is available. You will then be asked about your Audio Visual needs.  If you do not know what your needs are yet a technician will be booked for you at a 3 hour minimum until your A/V needs become clear.

Using Outlook to Request a Room

To use Outlook to reserve a meeting room, simply create a new meeting, and then invite a meeting room from the "Select Attendees and Resources" menu. Most meeting rooms appear at the top of this list. You will receive an e-mail confirmation if the room is available.

Cancellations, Set Up and Cleaning

Make sure to cancel reservations that will not be needed so that others can make use of the room. Remember that you are responsible for set up, clean up and returning the room to suitable condition in time for the next group.

A limited supply of folding tables and chairs is available for short-term use. Reservations must be made in advance through the CEF Service Desk (ext. 8901). To have furniture or equipment arranged before and after the meeting, you will need to request Labor Pool services. Please plan ahead as they have a small staff and a heavy work load.
