NLC Drawing Number and Titling Standards:
Drawing Titling Standard
All SLAC drawings are to be titled per SLAC Design Standard
DS-016-110-04. This standard is available in SLAC Document Control
and can be requested through the online Document
Requisition Form.
In addition to these standards, NLC will use a titling convention
as follows:
The first line of the title block shall contain the Project (NLC)
and appropriate Area or Discipline specifiers as defined on the Area
Names and Abbreviations page.
The second line of the title block shall contain the Major
Assembly and Sub-Assembly names as required to unambiguously
identify the parent assemblies of the part or sub-assembly drawing
or other related document (specification, schematic, etc.). Where
specificity is required, all names and abbreviations shall be per
the Area
Names and Abbreviations or Device
Names and Abbreviations pages.
The third line of the title block shall contain the part,
subassembly, or related document name only, and shall, in
combination with the first and second lines, uniquely identify the
part, etc. within the project.
The fourth line of the title block shall only be used for
inclusion of collaborators drawings into the SLAC Document Control
system, and shall contain only the collaborating facility's
identifier, and their document number as shown on the face of their
drawing.
